Who does not love drones? Sometimes it’s just to complecated to get permissions or it might be to expensive. That’s where the Dactylcam from Defy comes in handy. Director Lino Russel shot with us the car scenes, that been edited together with the movie trailer footage.
It took our key grip Tomislav Culina 45 minutes to setup a 200′ rope and we could could get angles, that the Pursuit would get with the cars doing 360′. T and Micah Bisagni had lots of fun playing around with the cable cam. For a quick setup I built a pipe rig for my pick up truck.

Stefan von Borbely was born in Munich and started his creative journey as a stills assistant. He moved on to become a camera assistant, camera operator and has been a Director of Photopgraphy (DoP, camera man, Kameramann) since 1994 working on music videos, movies and commercials. He’s shot for just about every brand of car you can imagine as well as for Nikon, McDonalds, Heineken and many more. Stefan operates Aerial Photography and Russian Arm (any system from Flight Head till Shotover). Part of his own equipment is: Fritzi gimbal, Kessler motion control, Licht-Technik Bagolight system. Stefan resides in Los Angeles.
